Description
Margaret Friar, the daughter of a local football manager, faces a different turn in her life when she meets young German soldier Bert Trautman. Bert was a German prisoner of war and a talented goalkeeper that Margaret's father took him out of the camp to play in local football. As a German prisoner of war, Bert suffered a tragedy alongside Margaret, especially as they faced general hostility with the end of World War II.
